Hi Doreen,

Glad you like the smilies!

We have a 'technical' person making the old forum available on the new domain & IP address as we speak. I will put the link on the forum tomorrow (hopefully) which will allow all members to read back over old posts.

I hope this is ok, this is the only way that we could do it without spending lots of time manually transferring each post across individually.

Enjoy your new forum!

Emma, NRAS xx

Seems very good so far, but it hasn't been given a thorough testing yet - only joking!!!! The site certainly has a more modern feel about it.

How did I manage what Jean, the avatar?

If you click on profile, then edit avatar it's the same as before.

Sorry, it's "modify avatar"

Hi Emily, it's obvious when you look around, NRAS have worked very hard to get this up and running and are still working on it.

<looks round>

Hmm nice job :)

Transfering the old posts oer can take an age and it's a bit of a nightmare task , though I'm sure we'll soon get things sorted.

PS Nice that I was able to change my username from the main NRAS log in page (ohh I'm such a geek smiling about something so simple) <giggle>

New site looks really good, will explore more later.
It doesn't take much to confuse me though i even forgot my password just because it's a different way in, i must usually be on automatic pilot.....had to sit and have a think for a minute but it came back to me eventually! RollEyes

I wonder if there's a few folks who have been unable to log in to the new site, a few of the links have changed so anyone who has it bookmarked might be having problems.Sad

I bookmarked it and have had no problem but I've just had an e-mail from Julie, she's having problems it won't accept her user name and password.

There aren't many posts yet so I guess quite a few are having problems.

Doreen xx

It's a bit boring isn't it with no-one on?

Oh my gosh that was a shock. Have not been on forum for a while as not been too well. Just spent the last two hours
trying to find my log in and password as on the old forum I never signed out so did not have to enter details each time.
Brain like a sieve. My paperwork is now turned upside down but finally found log in and password. I wonder if other
people are going through the same.

Look forward to getting to know the new forum and catch up on the posts this week when they are available.

I've done the following guide, feel free to copy and paste it into an email for other members in case they're having problems.

I've also put it onto Facebook in case folks log in there. :D

How to log into the NRAS Forum from the new site

Go to the new NRAS site at
http://www.nras.org.uk/default.aspx

In the Member Log In Box enter the log in details for your NRAS Membership (the same username and password you used to log into the forum)

Once you've logged in you will be on the new Members Area page

Click on the Online Community Box then click on the Members Forum

Once you are taken to the new forum, you can bookmark the page to speed up future access

Hope this helps anyone who may be having problems :)
